BAE Systems Inc., the U.S.-based subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, has appointed Michael Loeffler as vice president of supply chain, effective Aug. 24.
Loeffler will report to President and CEO Tom Arseneault, a four-time Wash100 Award winner, and join the subsidiary’s senior leadership team, BAE Systems said Tuesday.
He will succeed Brad Pelachyk, who now serves as senior vice president and chief global supply chain officer at the parent company.
What Will Michael Loeffler Oversee at BAE Systems?
Loeffler will lead the supply chain organization supporting all BAE Systems Inc. businesses, covering strategy, execution and program delivery.
Arseneault said Loeffler’s experience in defense programs and enterprise-scale operations will benefit the company’s programs and customers.
What Experience Does Michael Loeffler Bring?
Loeffler arrives from Bell, where he served as vice president of global supply chain and logistics. He has over 20 years of leadership experience in aerospace and defense.
He previously held supply chain roles at L3Harris, GE Aviation and Boeing.
Loeffler served in the Navy as a submariner aboard the USS Kentucky and later as a staff instructor at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a master’s degree from The Citadel and a master’s in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
