The Virginia-based management consulting firm said on LinkedIn Tuesday that Finney will lead its generative AI practice, LIGER, as it continues to advance AI efforts.
In his new role, Finney will help government agencies achieve efficiency, quality and capability improvements to enhance mission performance.
The executive brings significant experience in data science, machine learning and strategic leadership to LMI. The genAI VP’s career includes nearly four years at McKinsey, a data scientist role at Amazon Robotics and over four years as a senior consultant in strategy and analytics at Deloitte.
In October, LMI CEO and 2024 Wash100 awardee Doug Wagoner said AI “is going to be table stakes for any solution” that contractors can provide to the government.
Finney’s appointment follows the recent promotion of Randal Dragon to VP of business development for LMI’s defense segment.
