The Naval Information Warfare Systems Center Pacific is planning to launch a full and open competition for a potential $136 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covering engineering and support services for the U.S. Navy’s Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services program.
A notice posted on the NAVWAR e-Commerce Central states that the follow-on contract has a three-year base ordering period with four option years and encompasses engineering, technical and programmatic services supporting the Navy’s program office for tactical networks.
The contract also includes associated certification and information assurance for developments and support for existing operations and future upgrades.
Eight companies currently provide shipboard network support to the CANES program under a potential 10-year, $4.1 billion follow-on contract awarded in December 2022.
The CANES initiative seeks to consolidate and replace the Navy’s existing afloat networks in a common computing environment for systems, applications and services.
