The contract covers the provision of the ST-Flex Guardian Class autonomous aerostat designed to carry more than 60 kgs of payload with a maximum flight altitude of up to 305 m, Altaeros said Tuesday.
Ben Glass, CEO of Altaeros, remarked that ST-FLex suits domestic and international government customers looking for a payload-agnostic platform to support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions and multi-domain operations.
ST-Flex features a modular payload interface capable of accommodating a range of technologies including radar, electro-optical/infrared sensors, communications relays, 5G and counter-unmanned aerial systems.
The platform uses the Aerostat Autopilot system to eliminate the need for an on-site crew and enable multiple site monitoring from a single operations center.
