Apogee has established a governing board of directors in line with the company’s push to expand its footprint in the government market and named Chairman and CEO Wes Georges as lead of the new body.
Other inaugural governing board members are Dave Dacquino, former CEO at Serco Group‘s North American business arm, and Landmark Systems co-founder Kathy Clark, Apogee said Thursday.
The Apogee Governing Board is responsible for providing leadership assistance and mentorship as the company seeks more contracting opportunities with the Department of Defense to grow its market share.
Dacquino previously served as CEO of Serco Inc., leading the business’ delivery of professional, technology and management services to government customers. His more than three decades of leadership experience also includes time with Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and the former Raytheon company. Clark, on the other hand, is the former CEO of Smarthinking and has experience in being part of the boards of Nathan Associates Inc. and Ensco.
“Their breadth of experience and knowledge will provide Apogee a measured plan of how we can continue to capture a growing share of our market while maintaining our core values of preserving the employee experience and culture,” remarked Georges.
