The U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division has begun soliciting bids for a potential $179.6 million contract to procure systems designed to help sailors practice navigation, seamanship and shiphandling skills.
The NSS procurement recompete will encompass new NSS training systems, modifications to existing platforms, complementary instructional system design, complementary training systems support and analysis and reports, according to a solicitation notice posted Wednesday.
The service branch intends to place individual orders through a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with an ordering period of 60 months.
NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal center for research, development, test and evaluation and procurement of modeling, simulation and training systems. The division also provides life cycle program management and product systems support services across the service branch.
