He will report to Sigma Defense CEO Matt Jones and oversee the company’s development efforts and strategy with a focus on connected networks and maritime matters, the company said Monday.
Jones said Anderson brings to the leadership team his experience and knowledge and will be instrumental as the company works to deliver tactical communications, software development and DevSecOps capabilities to the Department of Defense.
Anderson spent 32 years in the Navy, where he served as program executive officer for undersea warfare system, major program manager in PMW 770, deputy for undersea warfare at Naval Sea Systems Command and SPAWAR deputy commander for fleet readiness.
He also served in the secretary of the Navy’s office of legislative affairs, Strike Force Training Pacific, U.S. Space Command in Cheyenne Mountain and NATO Allied Naval Forces South. His maritime career included time as strategic weapons officer on USS Newport News Des Moines-class heavy cruiser and USS Ohio nuclear submarine and as executive officer on USS Jefferson City Los Angeles-class submarine.
