In its recent Executive Spotlight interview, ExecutiveBiz spoke with Brian Frutchey, chief technology officer at BigBear.ai, to tackle the formal completion of the company’s merger with GigCapital4, the initiative for the development of cybersecurity and space capabilities, the partnerships with Redwire and Palantir Technology, as well as the robotics industry’s possible impact on artificial intelligence innovation.
Here’s an excerpt from the interview with Frutchey about the development of SpaceCREST or space and cybersecurity range capabilities:
“With SpaceCREST, we are working to provide a standard way to go and look at the firmware, control systems, and communication protocols across a satellite constellation for vulnerabilities with hardware in the loop simulations.
This allows us to vet the cyber vulnerabilities of these constellations before you launch them – which is surprisingly important because once you put the thing up in space, it’s really hard to do any servicing on it.”
