NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) reported a record revenue of $7.1 billion for the third quarter of its 2022 fiscal year, a 50 percent increase from the prior-year period and a 9 percent jump from the previous quarter.
The company said Wednesday it paid $100 million in cash dividends during the quarter and saw its non-GAAP diluted earnings per share climb 60 percent to $1.17 in Q3 FY 2022, up from $0.73 a year ago.
NVIDIA’s data center business posted a record revenue of $2.94 billion in Q3 FY 2022, a 55 percent rise from the same period last year. The company’s professional visualization segment saw its third quarter sales rise 144 percent to $577 million.
“Demand for NVIDIA AI is surging, driven by hyperscale and cloud scale-out, and broadening adoption by more than 25,000 companies,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA.
Shareholders of record as of Dec. 2 will get a quarterly cash dividend of $0.04 per share on Dec. 23.
