Boeing (NYSE: BA) will update as many as five Chinook heavy-lift military cargo helicopters for the U.S. Army under a $391.4 million contract.
The military service intends to procure CH-47F renew aircraft through the fixed-price-incentive contract and expects the planemaker to complete work on Sept. 30, 2025, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
According to Boeing, the CH-47F’s cockpit is equipped with a common aviation architecture and a digital management system.
The award comes three days after the company secured a separate $23.76 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to sustain the branch’s C-17 airlifters. DOD said that the Globemaster III sustainment deal includes foreign military sales to the NATO Airlift Management Program Office, U.K., Australia, Canada, India, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
