VTG has acquired Fairfax, Virginia-based systems engineering company Intelligent Shift for an undisclosed sum in a move to add intelligence agencies to the former’s national security customer portfolio.
Chantilly, Virginia-based VTG said Wednesday the transaction also expands the company’s systems, digital and software engineering support offerings for the defense and intelligence sectors.
John Hassoun , president and CEO of VTG, said the deal represents a key step in the company’s transformation strategy and adds technical services to its target markets.
Intelligent Shift founders Alissa Redding, Mike DeFede and Mike Matthews will continue to oversee the entity as an IC services division under the national security solutions segment led by Kirk Herdman .
VTG made the acquisition following its deals for National Technologies Associates and Delta Resources last year.
