The Federal Trade Commission has awarded Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) a potential $162.1M contract to provide information technology and system support services for the agency’s information-sharing platform for investigating consumer fraud reports .
The contract has a base value of $14.9M and includes options that would extend work through Nov. 30, 2030, according to the FTC filing released Monday.
FTC’s Consumer Sentinel Network is a tool that offers membership-based access to a database of reports encompassing identity theft, telemarketing scams, loan and credit scams, business opportunity schemes and other forms of consumer fraud.
The system is meant to be publicly accessible to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as well as select international counterparts.
Work under the base contract is slated to conclude by Nov. 30, 2021.
