Veritone Gets DOJ Contract for Transcription, Translation Services; Jon Gacek Quoted

Veritone has secured a two-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Department of Justice transcribe and translate audio or video content with an artificial intelligence-powered technology.

The company said Tuesday it will provide DOJ with transcription and translation services using the aiWARE Government platform, which has been recertified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

AiWARE is designed to help case teams search, discover and analyze huge amounts of information. The DOJ and all 94 U.S. Attorneys' offices nationwide can order the company's offerings through the IDIQ contract and access services via the department's eDiscovery platform.

“In our pursuit to help transform government operations through AI-enabled solutions that provide actionable intelligence and tools that save cost, resources and time, this contract represents a major milestone and opportunity for Veritone,” said Jon Gacek, head of Veritone's government, legal and compliance business.

The company initially received FedRAMP certification for aiWARE Government in March of last year and secured recertification earlier this month following completion of additional assessments under the federal government's cloud computing program.
