Susan Doniz, former group chief information officer at Qantas Group, has been named CIO of Boeing (NYSE: BA) and senior vice president for information technology and data analytics.
Boeing said Wednesday Doniz will officially join the Chicago-based planemaker in May and succeed Vishwa Uddanwadiker, who has held the CIO role on an interim basis since October.
Doniz will lead the company's information technology and security, analytics and data functions, as well as drive business growth through IT and analytics programs.
"She brings deep insight and skills to digital transformation, data analytics and artificial intelligence – all essential to our long-term growth strategy as well as our continuous drive for operational and safety excellence. She brings as well a passion for STEM education and diversity and inclusion," said David Calhoun, president and CEO of Boeing.
Doniz, who has 25 years of technology leadership experience, previously held positions at SAP, Procter & Gamble and Aimia.
