The Department of Defense has awarded a task order worth $1M to Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) under the potential 10-year Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud computing contract.
An award notice posted Tuesday says the task order covers “unclassified infrastructure as a service and platform as a service and support service package for tactical edge device accreditation and training.”
In October, Microsoft won the $10B JEDI cloud contract that includes PaaS and IaaS offerings in support of DoD’s mission and business operations.
