The U.S. Army has shortlisted General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) land systems business, QinetiQ North America and Textron (NYSE: TXT) for an industry competition to build medium Robotic Combat Vehicle prototypes.
Each contractor will receive a request for prototype proposal and move into the next phase of the service branch’s RCV-Medium project, the National Advanced Mobility Consortium said Friday.
QinetiQ NA, Textron, Oshkosh (NYSE: OSK) and HDT Global will separately compete for the RCV-Light development project. According to NAMC, the Army could award two contracts in the second quarter of fiscal 2020 to acquire four non-developmental RCV-L units.
