General Dynamics Awarded $1.2B to Build Army’s Short-Range Air Defense System

A business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has secured a potential five-year, $1.22B contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture and test systems that are designed to destroy, neutralize or deter low-altitude aerial threats. General Dynamics Land Systems will provide interim Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense systems to the military service, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Bruce Jette: Original Competitors Plan to Submit Bid for Restructured OMFV Combat Vehicle Program

Bruce Jette, acquisition executive at the U.S. Army and a 2020 Wash100 award winner, said companies that previously submitted bids for the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle program have expressed plans to compete again after the service restructured the acquisition strategy for the OMFV competition, Inside Defense reported Thursday.
