Mills Manufacturing Corp. and Airborne Systems (ASNA) have won spots on a potential 10-year, $249M contract to deliver personnel parachute systems to the U.S. Army.
Army Contracting Command received two bids for the T-11 supply contract and will provide funds upon the award of individual orders, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The Pentagon expects the contractors to finish contract work by July 22, 2019.
Airborne Systems developed its T-11 Advanced Tactical Parachute System for mass personnel descents for today’s warfighter. The system is designed  to carry up to 400 pounds with a rate of descent of 27 feet per second.
