OPM and CoE will use the information to assess whether to buy or lease equipment needed to set up two disaster recovery mainframes in Macon, Ga., and Boyers, Pa., to support background investigation and retirement service application workloads.
The draft RFQ outlines several performance objectives such as obtaining and validating the required hardware stated in the technical specifications and bringing the mainframes to code 20.”
The agencies will accept responses through July 15.
OPM is the third federal agency GSA has teamed up with to advance information technology modernization efforts as part of the CoE program.
OPMs CoE team will focus on IT workforce planning, IT planning and governance, mainframe and disaster recovery planning and retirement services technical portfolio.
