CentralSquare Technologies has purchased Tellus Safety Solutions for an undisclosed sum in a push to establish a single virtual network to facilitate communications for first responders and other public safety personnel across North America.
CentralSquare said Wednesday it plans to create a common virtual system designed to connect disparate 911 computer aided dispatch software platforms in order to help emergency medical services, fire and police personnel save nearly 125K lives each year and speed up emergency response.

CentralSquare said it will continue to update and support all Tellus platforms for existing public safety agency clients.
