Raytheon Names Wesley Kremer, Ralph Acaba to New Leadership Roles

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has appointed Wesley Kremer, head of the firm™s integrated defense systems, as president of missile systems business, and Ralph Acaba, a 33-year company veteran, as president of IDS in a move that will take effect on March 30.

“Wes and Ralph each bring extensive technical and operational expertise to their new roles. Their customer relationships and proven leadership capabilities will serve our company well as we enter a new period of technical advancement, product innovation and global growth, Thomas Kennedy, chairman and CEO of Raytheon and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said in a statement published Tuesday.

Kremer will succeed the retiring Taylor Lawrence, who will continue to serve as a senior adviser to the company through July 14, to oversee Raytheon™s missile systems business in Tucson, Ariz.

Since joining Raytheon in 2003, Kremer has held senior leadership roles such as corporate officer and president of IDS, vice president of air and missile defense systems product line and director of the company™s SM-3 program. He also served as a weapons systems officer in the U.S. Air Force for more than a decade.

Acaba will replace Kremer as head of IDS and will oversee the business segment through its office in Tewksbury, Mass.

He has served in several senior leadership positions since his move to Raytheon in 1986, including director of the Patriot systems business and maneuver protection programs, VP of Raytheon Program Management Excellence and program manager for the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor program.
