Boeing Gets $195M Modification to Upgrade Navy P-8A Aircrew Training System

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $194.5M modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract that provides for production concurrency updates to the U.S. Navy‘s and the Australian government’s P-8A Aircrew Training System.

The system requires these updates to accommodate initial training for future mission functions, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

Work will take place in Florida, Washington, Texas, Missouri and Australia through September 2023.

The Navy will immediately obligate the entire modification amount that combines fiscal 2016 Navy aircraft procurement and cooperative agreement funds.

The Boeing-made P-8 training system integrates equipment, software, personnel and logistical support to simulate missions for aircrew members.
