BAE Systems Win, Part II: Navy Cruiser Work in Place

BAE Systems secured a multi-ship, multi-option dry dock contract from the Navy to maintain six Ticonderoga class  guided missile cruisers.

The five-year deal covers execution planning, modernization, maintenance and repair work.

“The award of this contract is a direct testament to the sustained superior performance and dedicated commitment of our highly skilled workforce, ” said Bill Clifford, president of BAE Systems Ship Repair. “The Navy clearly recognizes our achievements and success in maintaining and modernizing these critical assets for combat operations.”

The firm will work on the following ships: USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55), USS San Jacinto (CG 56), USS Normandy (CG 60), USS Monterey (CG 61), USS Anzio (CG 68) and USS Vella Gulf (CG 72).
