Fulcrum has wrapped up its purchase of Herndon, Virginia-based engineering services company The PTR Group for an undisclosed sum in a move to grow its presence in intelligence and research-and-development markets.
Fulcrum CEO Jeff Handysaid in a statement the acquisition supports the company™s entry into the R&D market and expands its cyber capabilities designed to help clients meet mission requirements.
Centreville, Virginia-based Fulcrum expects the transaction to broaden its portfolio of clients, build up its intelligence business and deliver software, technology platforms and support services to federal and military agencies such as NASA, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Naval Research Laboratory.
The PTR Group provides software engineering, embedded systems, cybersecurity, software-defined networking, internet of things and machine-to-machine engineering, prototype development, training and consulting services to government agencies and companies.
Fulcrum is owned by its management team and private equity firms Boyne Capital Partners and Grindstone Partners.
