According to the Department of Defense, “CSC (NYSE: CSC) is being awarded a $9, 777, 423 task order #0079 under a previously awarded contract (M67854-02-A-9004) for technical support to the operating forces, a key element of the Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) support for fielded tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems for Marine Corps operating forces. Technical support under this effort include on-site/on-call support at the MCTSSA Operating Forces Tactical Systems Support Center, on-site technical representation at specified Marine Corps Command organizations worldwide, exercise support based upon the operational schedule of the supported units, and support of contingency operations (e.g., hazardous duty, combat operations, peace keeping) on a discrete basis. Work will be performed in various locations in and outside the continental United States, and is expected to be completed in November 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $9, 777, 423 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps System Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.”
