General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has won a four-year, $46.7 million contract to support the U.S. Navy‘s International Programs Office and the Naval Supply Systems Command’s weapons systems support division.
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center in Norfolk, Virginia, received two offers for the single-award contract covering security cooperation and assistance, program management and foreign military technical support services, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Navy IPO is responsible for the management and implementation of the military branch’s international security assistance programs, technology security policies and cooperative development initiatives.
The NAVSUP WSS organization manages the supply of weapons systems to the Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and joint and allied forces.
General Dynamics will perform contract work at various facilities in Pennsylvania, Washington and Florida as well as at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
DoD noted the ordering period will run through March 2020 and the Navy has obligated $50, 000 in defense business operations funds at the time of award.
