The Department of Defense said Thursday Naval Sea Systems Command, or NAVSEA, conducted a full and open competition on SAM.gov and received one offer for the firm-fixed-price contract.
NAVSEA awarded an initial amount of $155.9 million in support of the fiscal 2025 USS Somerset Docking Selected Restricted Availability, or DSRA.
Work will occur in San Diego through January 2027.
The command is obligating $144.7 million in fiscal 2025 other procurement funds and $11.2 million in fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds for the DSRA.
USS Somerset FY25 Docking Selected Restricted Availability
BAE will provide labor, supervision, testing, production, equipment, facilities and quality assurance necessary to accomplish the Chief of Naval Operations Availability.
In January, NAVSEA issued a solicitation for the USS Somerset fiscal year 2025 DSRA, which requires the contractor to have a capable pier for the ship class and the human resources needed to coordinate, integrate and complete multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair and modernization work.
