In a LinkedIn post announcing the promotion, the Tysons, Virginia-based management consulting firm said Dragon will leverage his 30 years of military service and understanding of customer missions to pursue opportunities and drive strategic growth.
According to his LinkedIn profile, the newly appointed defense business development lead joined LMI as a principal in 2019.
Prior to LMI, he spent over four years as a division manager at CACI International.
30 Years of Army Service
Dragon’s military career included time as C/J-3 for Multi-National Corps–Iraq, commander of the operations group at the Army National Training Center and deputy commanding general for the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One) in Iraq.
He held platoon- and division-level leadership positions in the U.S., Germany, Ukraine, Macedonia, Kosovo, Iraq and Honduras.
He retired in 2013 as commanding general of the Army’s Brigade Modernization Command, which is now known as Joint Modernization Command.
