CACI International has completed its acquisition of Azure Summit Technology, a developer of high-performance radio frequency, for approximately $1.28 billion.
The Reston, Virginia-headquartered defense contractor said Wednesday the all-cash transaction expands its portfolio of offerings, particularly into the maritime and airborne markets.
In his statement following the closing of the transaction, John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a Wash100 awardee, welcomed the over 300 employees who will join the company from Azure Summit.
“Azure Summit adds established, complementary technology and expands our customer presence,” he said. “This meaningful addition also brings an exceptionally talented workforce whose commitment, innovation and focus on excellence match our own.”
CACI initiated the purchase of Azure Summit in September aiming to better meet the needs of Department of Defense and national security agency customers. The move is also intended to expand CACI’s U.S. presence as Azure Summit operates facilities in Fairfax, Virginia, and Melbourne, Florida.
