Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a $460.6 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency for continued system engineering and integration of a ballistic missile defense system for Guam.
The National Team–Systems and Engineering contract covers specialized system engineering guidance, integration, system development and data product delivery for MDA’s ongoing modification of the BMDS architecture located in Guam, the Department of Defense said Friday.
MDA plans to incorporate homeland defense radars, electronic protection, sea-based Terminal Inc3, Next Generation Interceptor and initial glide phase intercept capability.
Boeing will provide technical reports, predictive analysis, system reliability assessments and SE&I data inputs.
Work will occur at the company’s facility in Huntsville, Alabama.
The contract has an anticipated base period of three and a half years with six option years.
MDA will obligate the exact contract amount in fiscal 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
