Jon Rosenwasser, former budget and policy director at the Senate Select Committee for Intelligence, has joined the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to serve as chief financial officer.
ODNI said Friday Rosenwasser, as the new intelligence community CFO, will be responsible for driving initiatives across IC to uphold the DNI’s role in developing, determining and presenting the National Intelligence Program budget to the president for approval.
The finance chief’s work will cover the 18 IC elements and seven federal departments and agencies as well as the Office of Management and Budget and Congress.
DNI Avril Haines underscored Rosenwasser’s previous experience in serving on the National Intelligence Council and in senior strategy roles during his time at the ODNI from 2006 to 2013.
“In addition to his deep congressional and intelligence experience, Jon’s national security career includes a number of think tank fellowships and positions in academia,” added Haines, a 2024 Wash100 awardee. “Jon is an exceptional leader whose incredible knowledge and integrity will serve ODNI very well as he integrates all budget activities across the IC and manages the National Intelligence Program.”
Rosenwasser currently serves as an adjunct professor of the practice at Duke University’s Terry Sanford School of Public Policy and holds regular guest lectures at several universities.
