The Tyto Athene chief executive will be responsible for leading strategic business growth initiatives and driving delivery of mission-focused digital transformation services to customers in the defense, national security, intelligence, space and public safety markets, the portfolio company of the Washington, D.C.-area private investment firm said Tuesday.
Commenting on the appointment, Michael Lustbader, a managing partner at Arlington, remarked, “Dennis’ proven track record within the Arlington portfolio and extensive experience in the government contracting space prove he is the leader to drive Tyto’s growth and operational excellence.”
Kelly previously led Arlington portfolio companies Eqlipse Technologies and Centauri as CEO and president and chief operating officer, respectively. He brings to the Tyto team experience in strategy, M&A and integration.
The U.S. Navy veteran’s career also includes time serving as president of national security solutions at PAE, president and CEO of Buchanan & Edwards, and executive chairman of Intrepid Solutions and Services.
“Our team is passionate about national security and supporting the government’s mission to secure our nation,” said Kelly. “I am fully committed to our talented and mission-focused people who are supporting our global customers and look forward to working with Arlington again to achieve our shared vision.”
