Amentum is working on task orders from the State Department to provide training, professional development, engineering, design and build services under the Africa Peacekeeping Program.
The company said Wednesday it received $165 million in awards to train the armed forces in the country of Benin and construct military bases for the Somalia National Army Danab.
The objective of AFRICAP is to help strengthen national security and combat extremist groups in African allied countries.
One of the task orders, which will be carried out in Benin, involves training of non-commissioned officers, company-grade officers and trainers. It also includes basic military training and field exercises.
Amentum will also lend its expertise for the design and construction of six sustainable military installations under the jurisdiction of the Somalia National Army Danab.
