Vertex Aerospace has secured a five-year, $458.2 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Navy to establish a new depot site for the F-5 Adversary aircraft, serving both the military branch and the Marine Corps.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also calls for organizational, selected intermediate and limited depot level maintenance as well as logistics support services, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Vertex will perform contract work in various locations, including Florida, Arizona, Louisiana and South Carolina, until November 2028.
The Maryland-based Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division conducted a virtual competitive procurement process for the contract and received four bids.
DOD noted that funds will be allocated on a per-order basis.
