Bajaj, DMI’s founder and chief executive for the past 21 years, will continue to serve on the board of directors, the technology services provider said Tuesday.
In his prior role, Thurston helped spearhead operations, strategic development and growth initiatives at DMI. The former COO played a key role in the acquisition and integration of Simplex Mobility and two other complementary businesses.
“As we move forward, we will build upon our strong foundation and deep talent pool to help our clients continue to improve customer experience, business workflows and decrease operating costs,” Thurston said.
Thurston previously held various leadership positions at Peraton, AT&T (NYSE: T), Accenture (NYSE: ACN), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
