Defense Logistics Agency Picks Six Companies for Medical Freight Transport IDIQ Contract

Six companies have landed spots on a potential three-year, $45 million contract to help the Defense Logistics Agency deliver medical cargo to government mission locations outside the continental U.S.

DLA solicited offers to the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for medical freight transportation services among participants in the Department of Defense’s Civil Reserve Air Fleet program, DOD said Wednesday.

Defense working capital funds for fiscal year 2023 through fiscal 2026 will be used to pay for the services.

The contract has one base year and a pair of one-year options.

CRAF participants received Commercial Airlift Review Board approval and Federal Aviation Administration certification to support the Pentagon’s airlift requirements in the event of an emergency.
