Raytheon Awarded $171M Option Under Multi-Service Tomahawk Missile Supply Contract

Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) will manufacture 111 more Tomahawk missile systems in Block V configuration for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Army under a $171.2 million contract modification.

The Navy exercised an option under the first multi-service, full-rate production contract for the Tactical Tomahawk weapon, according to a Department of Defense notice posted Friday.

For this award, Raytheon’s missiles and defense business will deliver 50 to the Army, 48 to the Navy and 13 to the Marine Corps.

The initial multi-service procurement announced in May had a $217.1 million value and covered lot 18 FRP, which includes an update to the weapon’s navigation and communications system.

The long-range Tomahawk missile is designed to be fired from surface, ground and subsurface platforms and to help military operators reach a fixed or a mobile target, according to the Navy.
