General Dynamics Subsidiary Receives $50M USS Montana Post-Delivery Support Contract

A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary has booked a one-year, $50.1 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to carry out post-delivery work on a Virginia-class fast-attack submarine that entered service in June.

General Dynamics Electric Boat will provide support services to USS Montana (SSN 794) under the cost-plus-fixed-fee award, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The Navy initially obligated $10.4 million on the modification from its fiscal 2022 shipbuilding and conversion funds.

HII‘s (NYSE: HII) Newport News Shipbuilding division built the Montana submarine as part of a teaming agreement with GDEB and completed the delivery in March.
