Tim Reardon, a 25-year GovCon industry leader and a four-time Wash100 awardee, has been appointed CEO and chairman of the board of Sayres Defense, a portfolio company of Charlotte, North Carolina-based private equity firm Broadtree Partners.
He succeeds Joel Willett as chief executive of Sayres and will oversee sourcing, investment strategy and acquisitions in support of the company’s expansion efforts.
Reardon is also in charge of developing and executing Broadtree’s GovCon strategy in defense, aerospace, mission support and intelligence services as an operating executive within the firm.
Dave Slenzak, founder and a managing partner at Broadtree, said Reardon’s leadership and operational experience in the GovCon industry will help portfolio businesses implement their strategies and assist customers in carrying out their missions.
Sayres Defense has been providing acquisition, security, engineering, training and mission support services to the Department of Defense for over two decades. The company was acquired by Broadtree in 2021.
Reardon served as CEO of Constellis and held senior leadership roles at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT). Before joining the industry, he served as an intelligence analyst and operations officer at the CIA.
