Vighter has received a potential five-year, $1 billion contract from the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection to provide medical screening and program management support at multiple CBP facilities on the Southwest border.
The company said Tuesday it previously supported the CBP Medical Screening Services contract as a subcontractor for Acuity International between 2014 and 2015.
Tom Harrison, vice president of business development at Vighter, led the effort to compete for the CBP contract by establishing a team of industry partners to help plan and draft a proposal.
These partners include Acuity International, SOS International, Valor Healthcare, North American Rescue Medical Depot, AMI Federal Services, Council for Logistics Research and Spectrum Healthcare Resources.
