Biometrics Industry Vet Gary Lac Takes VP Role at NEC’s US Subsidiary

Gary Lac, a two-decade biometrics and identity management industry veteran, has been appointed vice president of solutions development at the U.S. subsidiary of Japanese information technology company NEC Corp.

He will oversee NEC Corporation of America products across digital services, national security and state and local government verticals, the company said Friday.

Lac previously led the solutions innovation organization at Idemia‘s North American business, the biometrics and identity management service area at IBM (NYSE: IBM) and the services organization at Digital Signal.

His professional experience also included systems engineering stints at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Raytheon.
