He will lead the board consisting of top information security experts and practitioners from several industries in providing Rubrik with data security product development guidance through information exchange and key insights delivery, the Palo Alto, California-based company said Monday.
Krebs is the founding partner of Krebs Stamos Group and brings years of experience gained from working at the Department of Homeland Security as undersecretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate, and at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) as director of cybersecurity policy.
Commenting on Krebs’ appointment as CISO advisory board chair, Bipul Sinha, CEO and co-founder of Rubrik, said, “Chris has experience navigating and resolving some of the most significant cyber attacks of the decade.”
Rubrik plans to name members of the CISO advisory board based on their cybersecurity initiatives, industry expertise and current position.
