He will oversee the company’s defense and commercial sales, customer experience and marketing efforts as CRO, Rogue Space said Wednesday.
Abbott previously served as CEO of NanoAvionics U.S. and helped build up client relationships across defense, government, commercial and institutional space programs. He worked at Surrey Satellite Technology US for six years and served as head of business development.
“I am very excited to join Rogue at a critical time in the space market where New Space companies are growing quickly to address space service needs which effectively act as a force and value multiplier for all the space industry,” Abbott said.
Jeromy Grimmett, founder and CEO of Rogue Space, said Abbott’s marketing and business development knowledge will enable the company to drive growth initiatives.
Abbott’s appointment comes as the company prepares for its maiden space mission in the fourth quarter of 2022.
