Brightstar Completes ERC, Oasis Systems Partnership

Brightstar Capital Partners has wrapped up the partnership of its portfolio company ERC with Oasis Systems in a move aimed to combine complementary service offerings for federal and defense agencies.

The combination came a month after Brightstar agreed to buy and merge Oasis Systems with ERC.

ERC-Oasis will provide support services in various areas such as information technology, emerging technologies, mission support, research and development, test and evaluation and modeling and simulation, the private equity firm said Tuesday.

Oasis Chair Tom Colatosti will serve as board chair and CEO of the combined entity. Oasis CEO Tim Nickerson will assume the role of chief operating officer of the combined organization, which will continue to operate through the companies’ existing headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts, and Huntsville, Alabama.

Nickerson said the new entity will combine the performance records of the two companies in delivering technology, engineering and specialized services to support the missions of customers across national security and scientific sectors.
