Innovative Defense Technologies Wins $99M Contract to Help Navy Implement Maritime Ops Software

Innovative Defense Technologies has won a potential three-year, $98.6 million contract to provide software for distributed maritime operations to the U.S. Navy.

IDT will use its prototype environment designed to accommodate software development and simultaneous monitoring of change-driven effects in the software’s physical and cyber aspects, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The project’s goal is to deploy the technology to the Navy’s frontline and enterprise platforms and services are for the third phase of the branch’s Small Business Innovation Research program.

DOD said the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a one-year base period and a pair of option years that would extend work through April 1, 2025.

The Office of Naval Research will obligate $7.1 million at the time of award.
