Scott Koslow, a more than 25-year veteran of the defense and government contracting sectors, took the helm of Synectic Solutions Inc. as president and CEO after he purchased the Oxnard, California-based professional services contractor.
The U.S. Navy retiree intends for SSI to be certified as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business and continue to work with the service branch, the company said Wednesday.
Koslow bought SSI from Lynn Dines, who established the company in 1997 and served as its president and CEO for 17 years, and is looking to pursue a growth strategy that will build on the company’s logistics, engineering, management and information technology offerings.
SSI said it does not expect the change in ownership and leadership to have a significant impact on employees, customers and partners.
The company has more than 100 personnel who provide support to the Naval Air Systems Command headquarters at Patuxent River in Maryland and at Naval Base Ventura County and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division facilities in Ridgecrest, California.
