WSP Buys Climate Finance Advisors; Lou Cornell Quoted

Engineering services provider WSP has acquired Washington, D.C.-based Climate Finance Advisors in a move to grow WSP’s presence in the U.S. climate finance and environmental services market.

CFA will operate under WSP USA’s climate, resilience and sustainability group and the combined organization aims to help clients manage climate-related operational and financial risks, WSP said Monday.

Stacy Swann, CEO and founding partner of CFA, will fill a broader executive role at WSP and work in cooperation with Tom Lewis, the latter company’s national business line leader for CRS.

Lou Cornell, CEO of WSP USA, said he believes every industry and sector will undergo transformations in response to climate change with the global goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Climate change and policy will be the focal points of discussion at the Potomac Officers Club’s virtual event on Feb. 24. Visit the POC Events page to learn more about the “How Climate Policy Can Drive Change” forum.
