She succeeded Tom Hickey, the former CLO who helped the company secure regulatory approvals for various satellite services during his decadelong career there, Iridium said Thursday.
Morgan joined Iridium in 2008 and has since assisted the corporate finance team on matters related to the Securities and Exchange Commission, equity offerings, financings, investor relations, executive compensation and human resources.
“With her involvement in a number of important Iridium matters during her time here already, I am confident Kathy will lead our legal, regulatory and security organization to even greater heights,” said Matt Desch, Iridium CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2022.
Earlier in her career, Morgan focused on mergers and acquisitions and securities work for a Washington, D.C.-based law firm and held corporate duties within the telecommunications industry.
