GE Unit to Maintain Military Sealift Command’s Ship Systems Under $125M Contract

A General Electric (NYSE: GE) business unit will maintain systems aboard Military Sealift Command vessels under a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth potentially $125 million over five years.

GE Power Conversion will support system maintenance work on various MSF ship classes, including the command’s dry cargo/ammunition, expeditionary sea base and transfer dock and auxiliary oiler fleets.

MSF is obligating $3,500 on the first order with the U.S. Navy’s fiscal 2021 working capital funds.

The command will use the IDIQ award to procure original equipment manufacturer-authorized components for GE brand equipment and technician services from the company.

Services under the contract will be performed worldwide through Sept. 30, 2026.
