Seven companies have secured positions on a potential five-year, $900 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Navy for construction work primarily within the area of operations of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast.
Gilbane Federal, Hensel Phelps Construction, The Korte Co., Mortenson Construction, RQ Construction, Sauer and Walsh Federal will compete for construction task orders through September 2026, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The contractors will perform design-build and design-bid-build work in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
NAVFAC Southeast used the Navy’s fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance budget to fund the contract’s guaranteed minimum of $7,000 in combined value, and will tap into the same pool to bankroll future task orders.
Thirty-four companies submitted bids for the contract that was solicited through the SAM.gov website.
